J45SAL created his Twitch channel and started creating content on the platform on November 27th 2020, where the first ever stream featured himself playing Minecraft with his close friend Kai. 

Although the stream was EXTREMELY poor quality, it's always important to remember that growing a brand or identity will face growing pains, and that it's a process over time and not something that will happen over night.

FUN FACT: The stream got a high of 3 viewers. 1 of which was my alt account, 1 was Kai's account and the other I believe was probably nightbot! 

I still remember the feeling of when I found out I achieved affiliate status on Twitch. Finally I can get subs, and get that revenue! Wooo! No but in all seriousness, I remember recieving the email, and the excitement coursed through my vains. I felt like I achieved something big, and that the grinding of Livestreaming to 0 viewers, and the eventuality of begging friends to watch the stream finally paid off. 

I will say however, this wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Floshadd (My first ever viewer/Follower) and Zombie123o. These 2 were random kids who started watching the streams, and to be honest helped this journey happen. Without them, I wouldn't even be in this position. 

I recieved my FIRST SUBSCRIBER by @Floshadd on December 26th 2020. And i'll forever be grateful to him, because he allowed me to dream and gave me hope that this could be a reality one day. 

My first ever 1000 followers on any platform, and to recieve this achievement on the livestreaming platform Twitch, where I still stream on to this day, is such a cool experience. 

I never believed I'd achieve this milestone so quickly, and it drove that motivation to succeed in this industry. To achieve such a massive milestone in which I didn't know was possible, i was ever so greatful. Fun Fact: I remember speaking to @Floshadd when I was starting out streaming, and said that the goal was to try and get 1000 followers by the end of 2021... I know. It's insane! 

This was a personal cool moment which also led to me revealing how much of a fanboy I am of the Sidemen member 'KSI'.

KSI officially Liked one of my posts on Twitter (also known as X) and we found out when I was live on stream, which brilliantly captured my reaction and the moment. I posted a reaction to KSI's album "AOTP" and he must've seen the video and gave it a like. For me, even if he was just scrolling, it was a cool moment considering he's a creator I look up to massively and aspire to be like. 

One day, manifesting it now, I will meet KSI. 

This marked a new era and a new beginning in the channel. 

A moment in which I see as a blessing and a curse in a sense, but we moved into an office in the house and moved out of the bedroom to give the streams a more professional aesthetic. It was a tough 2 month process, but eventually we managed to finally stream in the room and we have been streaming in here now officially for 2 years. 

It's a crazy achievement and moment in the channel due to the magnitude of the impact. 

This was my introduction to design and clothing. My first ever attempt at creating merchandise and my first ever design for a shirt. 

I decided on the design by taking inspiration from the Supreme Box Logo and wanted to do something like that. To be honest, looking back on it, it was one of the worst design's i've ever done BUT it's not about the design. You've got to remember that for me to be in the position where people want to purchase clothing with my name on, is such an honour. 

It makes me feel like a somebody and makes me feel like i've truly achieved something. The few of you who have this shirt can prove with a physical item, that you are a TRUE OG in the channel. 

This was the day when the first Merch drop we did finally went public. We did this big reveal on stream, and got a lot of hype surrounding the reveal. 

I'm gonna say on record now and show some admiration and appreciation to @tomfaz in the channel. To be fair to Tom, he helped create this website and helped with the behind the scenes aspect of the website. Looking back on the site, It was absolutely incredible and ahead of it's time when it comes to professionalism. Thank you brother for doing that for me, and if he ever see's this, I hope you're keeping well.

To think I released clothing and people were excited to purchase something with my name on was crazy to me then, and is still crazy to me now. I appreciate you all whole heartedly, and it's amazing to see people who purchased something back then, still here in the channel to this day. 

Hover.gg was an app and website which was quickly on the rise and was growing in popularity in 2022. The platform glorified Short form content and allowed many creators to boom in popularity (e.g. @bbjess). I took part in the app and gave it a go. 

In February, Hover announced their 'Next Top Streamer' competition where they search for the next best content creators. I submitted an application and managed to make the FINAL 16 out of 8000 Applications. 

Unfortunatley, we didn't make it further (although many thought I was scammed) and therefore only made the Top 16. To me this will always be an achievement, even if Hover doesn't exist anymore, as it was the first time that proved perseverance and belief in my content can take me places. 

It was a learning experience which benefitted me greatly for the future...

Although this is a holiday to some, to me this was my community's generosity getting me to travel across the world to attend one of the biggest gaming events of the year. 

Twitchcon have 2 big events a year, and this experience allowed me to meet new friends and meet friends for the first time. I captured my experience at the event too (youtube.com/j45sal) and to be honest, it was some of the best memories i ever made! 

It's a moment in my life i'll always cherish, because the generosity from my community put me in an incredible position and allowed me to elevate my branding and establish myself more and more into this industry. I do believe, if i didn't go to the event that year, I would be in a different position today. 

This was a cool first step towards establishing myself and my brand, and my first proper experience at networking with brands and creators. 

I attended Insomnia 69 to build my presence in the industry, and to be honest it was a brilliant first step to doing this. I maintain this was a key moment in my career because from this particular event, I met many different people, spoke to @GTOmegaRacing for the first time, had that viral moment where i played Rock, Paper, Scissors with a kid at Insomnia, and gave him a free gaming mouse and met so many other amazing people. 

End of the day, confidence, knowledge and experience are so key in this industry. And this was a big step on building all of this. 

Literally a day after completing Insomnia 69, we embarked on completing a 24hr stream and the aim to raise as much money for Versus Arthritis. 

My Dad (Papa Jassal) raises money for various charities every year, and that particular year he was raising money for Versus Arthritis. As I've been building this channel over the years, i decided to use my platform for good and to do my first ever charity stream. 

The stream invited a lot of generosity from many amazing people in the channel, and also was when the infamous 'Limmy' raided the channel during the stream with 1,820 viewers. It was a challenge to complete the stream and stay awake for the full 24hrs, but we managed to do it and in the end raise a total of £1,405 for Versus Arthritis. 

A massive achievement that no one will be able to take away from me. My first ever charity fundraiser too, and I'm sure it'll be the first of many for the future!

This was a personal moment in which proved to everyone that if i put my mind to something, and be courageous, I can achieve anything.

I was in a competition with ASUS ROG (ROG Pantheon) where 15 creators had the chance to become ASUS ROG Ambassadors. In order to stand out from the crowd, I wanted to do something daring and something very 'J45SAL'. I decided to go to the real life Pantheon in Rome, and I created the '24 Hour Challenge in Rome' YouTube video on my channel.

I spent around £200 on this video alone. But the main takeaway from this is that I dared to go the extra mile and it paid off, because now I'm an ASUS ROG Ambassador! - #ForThoseWhoDare

This was the first signing I ever did with a brand. It was through the ROG Pantheon Competition, however it's still a massive achievement nonetheless. To sign with one of the most infamous, biggest gaming companies in the world like ASUS ROG, and to be involved with them is massive.

At the time, I signed with one of the fastest growing energy drink companies in the UK. Having collaborated with Warner Bros., having products in Tescos and Holland & Barrett, I was excited to sign with a growing company and brand. 

Although it wasn't long lived, it was still a cool achievement at the time. Looking back on it, it was a learning experience and end of the day, it brought a lot of experience when it came to branded posts which has benefitted greatly for the future.

This was a massive moment for me, as I signed with a Bucket List company for myself. 

Couldn't be more proud and honoured to sign with GT Omega. They're a company i've admired for years, and even during the early days of watching KSI and other youtubers, they all had GT Omega chairs. They're, to me, the true OG's of the gaming world and for the quality of products they produce, i'm so proud of this personal achievement to work with them.

Can't wait to see what the future holds...

My second attempt at designing, and a whole year since the original merch drop. 

I decided against doing another Merch drop this time, purely due to how long and time consuming it can be. So in the end, I decided on just making the 2 Year anniversary shirt to commemorate 2 years of Content Creating. 

It was a successful drop, and managed to sell 25 shirts in total. To think 25 of these shirts are around the world is so awesome! Thank you to everyone who's supported and everyone who has one. 

Came as a bit of surprise but we managed to start our 2023 off with a banger, getting 1000 Subscribers on YouTube and continuing to grow all the socials!

I know the biggest issue with my YouTube channel at the minute is consistency, however I'm still proud of the quality we produce and to be honest quality is a very important aspect when it comes to the brand. 

Y'see when it comes to Kick.com, people generally think negatively on the platform. To me, this was a proud moment personally.

I took a plunge into the deep end, deciding to try something new and attempt to livestream on a new platform, which at the time was Kick.com. After streaming for 2 years on Twitch and seeing no growth, I wanted to try something new and give Kick a go. I did this and to be honest, I livestreamed on the platform fairly consistently for the next 6 months. I wanted to gauge the platform and see how viewer friendly and streamer friendly it was. 

For me, with such an established brand within the Twitch UK scene, it was a big challenge and big change to make however i've always been proud of myself to never be scared to change, cause you never know what could come from it.

Continuing this amazing relationship with Insomnia Gaming Festival, this time we took a massive step towards growing our brand.

This time I got accepted as a Creator again at Insomnia 70, but we also managed to really grow our presence in the UK Gaming Industry. I was invited to go on the Insomnia Gaming Festival MAIN STAGE and take part in the 'Hot Seat' Game Show. We also livestreamed at the event, recorded a YouTube video here and met so many amazing people. 

I even met a few people who recognised me from the streams, and just overall had an amazing time. Even having the opportunity to represent some brands at the event was some incredible experience to gain.

So we did a Subathon in the summer, and to be honest we had so many fun memories from this particular stream. 

I managed to organise a lot of plans for this particular stream, and proved that if I prepare well enough, I can achieve anything and any quality I want. I managed to collaborate with multiple streamers, had my friend Jose fly back to the UK from Canada, and surprise the stream. I did the 1 chip challenge, was pied in the face by my Dad, did some IRL streaming getting my haircut LIVE and much much more. 

This was just a brilliant memory, and crazy to think I was able to fit this into such a hectic year.

Kick.com also have their own Main Page, similar to Twitch. One day they put my on their main page, and although I have my own opinions of the platform, this was still a cool opportunity and small w. 

But for now, we're still Twitch > Kick.

I signed with growing brand Gamer Advantage, who specialise in making Glasses of a high quality nature with special Blue Light Lenses and more. 

This only came about due to me joking around with their social media page on Twitter, and it led to me signing with them to work with them as a brand.

(J45SAL parted ways with the company on December 26th 2023 due to personal reasoning with the brand. I'd rather feel special and work with a brand and have a personal connection/rapport, than be considered just another affiliate. Similar with BeyondNRG.)

A HUGE milestone in my career and moment in the 3 years of content creating.

I worked with the Biggest Gaming Festival in the UK, as their face of content for socials. This was also my first experience at being hired by a company/brand to host and present on behalf of them. I had to do piece to camera content, coming up with script on the fly without any pre-script. Also interviewed many creators and attendees at the event. 

This overall was an amazing experience, and is definitely one of THE highlights of my career so far. The moment that gave me a full foot in the door to work with brands on socials for content. 

After 7 months of testing out Kick.com, i made the ultimate decision to come back to Twitch.tv and continue our journey on the most Established livestream platform on Social Media. 

Twitch is where I built this community, and has so many advantages and pluses over Kick (e.g. large audience, safer platform, less drama, less toxicity etc.).

I feel I made the right decision, cause since moving back we've had some great moments and we'll continue to build the brand here!

Not only did I attend EGX in London as a creator, one of the big gaming events in the UK. But i also managed to hang out with the TikTok UK VIP area and also attend a TikTok UK after party.

I got to speak to many brands, meet many creators such as @Tommyinnit and the incredible, and beautiful @ThePizzaWaffle.

This whole experience was extremely stressful being stranded in London, but I also got to gain so much amazing experience proving to many professionals in the industry that I belong at that level, and also connected many creators together. 

Simply put... I am him.

Grew a mullet.

I attended a "nightlife gaming event" called Format.gg where they mix drinks and gaming together kind of? 

Although it was cool to be a 'creator' for the event, it was just nice to meet with friends for the first time in Manchester. The event itself was unique, although I doubt i'll be attending again due to me calling the after party "dead" in front of the Owner of Format. 

It is what it is, it was but that's beside the point! Still grateful for being invited by the Format team, thankful and made some fun content (on YouTube soon), but for now we moveeeeee...

The day where I was betrayed by the system, and WRONGLY SUSPENDED (and i'd like to make that abundantly clear) by X also known as Twitter. 

I woke up in the morn8ing to find my account being Suspended for no reason. The funny thing is, less than a week later it was unsuspended and Twitter acknowledged it as a system error and fault. I came back, and then 2 weeks later it get's suspended again. Since then, 7 appeals denied and no reasoning to this day. 

Absolute disgrace, and that's why the @j45salt Twitter account now exists. Thanks Elon Musk.

An incredible achievement and milestone to reach that many tend to fail. 

3 Years of creating content, consistently mind you. An incredible moment for myself to prove to those who doubt me, that i'm here for the long run.

My first ever solo campaign for a brand or company, being the face of the Insomnia Gaming Festival Christmas Campaign!

This campaign's main aim was to giveaway prizes to the UK Gaming scene, in the form of riddles, challenges etc. I was instructed to not only be the face of the content, but also edit the content myself.

It was a cool experience to have the responsibility to do this on behalf of the Biggest Gaming Festival in the UK. I think it was under-appreciated by some, but still i'm extremely proud to have worked with @igfestuk

One of the most funniest and craziest moments in the channel history. I'm quite proud of this moment, because it was 100% me who made it happen.

Using my initiative, Twitch made a mistake with their TOS which lead to a mass NSFW outbreak on the platform. Me being me, I decided to pretend to do a 'naked' stream, but basically all I showed was my shoulders to fake it. 

Ended up having one of the most famous, and viral content creators "Angry Ginge" react to me live, and ended up having such a funny moment. 

Simply put: GG.

Eventually... released the 3 Year Anniversary shirt to commemorate 3 years of creating content.
